Looking ahead to 2020

2020 . . . Is anyone else as gobsmacked over those numbers as I am?

I’ve had several lovely people ask me about upcoming projects. While you all know how mum I like to be about what I’m working on, let’s just say that 2020 will be the Year of Romance where the de Piagets and MacLeods are concerned. Drafty castles, chivalrous knights, feisty ladies fair. We might even have a ghost or three show up along with maps boasting unusual markings. You all know how that goes . . . :)

For those who love the 9Kingdoms as much as I do, keep the faith. We’re definitely not finished there!

Much, much more to come!

Really miss the romance novels. The kingdoms series is okay but love the de Piaget’s and MacLeods. I love how you bring them to life. 😊

    • Angela Smith says:

I agree. I have been waiting for a long time for a new de Piagets and MacLeods story.

      • Tabitha says:

I’m exactly the opposite. I happened to stumble upon the 1st 9 kingdoms book and fell in love with her writing. Strong and stubborn heroines with so much adventure in them. Completely fall in love with the characters and Morgan will always be my favorite. I dislike most romances but recently I’ve bring buying every one of her books I come across. Can’t wait to read the next one!

    • Hillary says:

Yes! It’s been way too long for the romance novels. Waaaaaay to long :)

    • Victoria Kreh says:

Yeah I totally agree. I have all the other romantic ones, but the kingdoms I cannot get into. I missed the others so much. I reread them all again and again.

      • Vicki Shanoss says:

Me also, I reread all of mine all the time.
I wish she’d bring back both families, so we can see how everyone is doing.
        I miss them so much

    • Ruth Edgar says:

I love them all but I think John dePiget is my favorite. Nicholas did say that John would have a son just like him….

      • LynnK says:

I have to admit I’m very fond of him myself. Such dry humor . . . <3

        • Theresa says:

Can’t wait for the next book! Miss the MacLeod/de Piaget books so much. Reread all sooo many times. How do we find out about release dates?

          • LynnK says:

Thank you, Theresa. <3 :) RE release dates, I'll definitely give plenty of notice here on my main page. My plan is to get back to regular release months, so I'll announce that too when I get that set.

        • Sharon Benson says:

My favorites are Patrick McLeod and Nickolas and I also love the characters of the 9 Kingdoms. I’ve also been re- reading them- no guilt as a Christian reading those and so much romance. No one else writes like Lynn.

    • Kathryn A Miles says:

Hope they’ll be here soon! Really miss these two families!

  2. Linda M Pickering says:

Thank you, Thank you! I have been longing for updates and new adventures for the MacLeods and dePiagets.

Hope your holidays are wonderful and that 2020 will come in with you full of vim, vigor and creativity. Be blessed!

  3. Jan Fernandez says:

I love your books! Is there somewhere where I can get the family trees for MacLeods and de Piagets? I know that there are some at the ends of books, but I read all of your books on my Kindle, so I cannot see those family trees. Help!

  4. Grayson says:

Thank you for finishing Acair’s story–it was a wonderful ending! Is there any chance we might find out what ever happened to Prince Sosar after he lost his magic? Or find out why King Sile made Miach and Mhorgain heirs to the throne of Tor Dorainn after Laidar??

  5. Connie Fields says:

Hurray, you and your wonderful writing have been missed during the last couple of years. I look forward to seeing what 2020 brings. Take care and know you are appreciated.

It has been a looong drought, and I have re-read all of the others again recently. I have been afraid that we would not see any more. Gratefully,
    Cindy

I hope 2020 is nothing but happiness for you!!

  18. Jennifer Smaltz says:

I am very Happy to hear about more books for the deLivers and MacLeods. I have read all of them 5 or 6 times cover to cover and usually find something I missed before. I can’t wait for some new stories, I would love to see a deLivery family reunion.

  21. Linda Howell says:

I’m three-quarters of the way through Prince of souls and I love it. I finally managed to get my Christmas decorations put away but only because I felt guilty reading instead of doing anything around the house for the last few weeks. I mean, really, I had to re-read the first two books with Acair and Leirsinn just so I could remember how they met! And now you tell us that we can look forward to more McLeod and dePiaget romances!!! I’m so excited! Hoping 2020 will bring you health and happiness and lots of ideas for new stories with our favorite people!

  27. Cathy Skelding says:

This makes me so happy to hear!!! I don’t care which series it is, I love them both; guess it’s just your awesome style of writing. Have read other medieval time travel stories and they just don’t measure up! I, for one, would really like to know what happened to Phillip or maybe I need to go back and re-read the book about that girl on the train; seems like she ended up with Phillip, but you never hear her mentioned when they talk about all their paranormal relatives! And maybe you could do some updates on all the babies all the coupes have had, maybe, say, a family reunion book??? It doesn’t really matter, like all of your fans, we just can;t wait for your next new book!!! Prayers and blessings for your year!!!!

  28. Patty says:

Looking forward to a de Piaget and/or MacLeod book. Hoping it might be Rose’s story. However, I will be very happy to read any new one. Thanks!!!

    • LynnK says:

Hang on for Rose . . . she’s in the wings as we speak. <3

I’m very happy to hear that we’ll be hearing more of the dePiagets & MacLeod’s. Your books are special in that not only do they have lovely romances, but they always make me laugh as well. Your heroes and heroines are memorable. Thanks for always writing books that I have great difficulty putting down.

  38. Janice Thompson says:

Can’t wait for a new book! When will it be out?

  39. Amy Greeson says:

I love the Kingdom series as much as I love your other romances! The stories of the Kingdom are so in-depth and I love the world you have made!
However, I am looking forward to some more of your more traditional romances and can’t wait to see what comes next for them as well! Thank you for all your stories.

  40. Elaine says:

While I love the MacLeod/De Piaget books (having re-read them multiple times), and am looking forward to more, I’m always a little sad when those who have come forward to live in the future leaves those in the past behind, and vice-versa. It breaks my heart a little each time :-( I know it’s weird but I can’t help it!!!!!

    • LynnK says:

Elaine, I am 100% with you there. It gives me an entirely new perspective on how difficult it must have been 200 years ago to move far away from family. I like to think that at some point, everyone will get together in a single place and live in bliss. <3

  41. Annmarie says:

So glad to hear that another MacLeod or de Piaget book is coming up! I have read them all twice and now my 21 year old daughter has started enjoying the series!

  44. Harleen Peterson says:

love all your romance series, not so much the 9 Kingdoms

  45. Denise Mobley says:

I’m starting my second read/listen through if the Nine Kingdoms books since February, then I’ll start the McCloud/dePiaget from the beginning. I’m so thankful there are a few authors like Lynn whose books I can read back to back and still not get tired of them. Thank you for the hours of reading over the years!!!

    With warmest regards,
    Kate Soehnlen <3

  55. Kate Soehnlen says:

I’ve reread all of the de Piaget and MacLeod books umpteen times and have loved them every time. They rank right up there with my Outlander books and that’s really saying something! :-)

I truly am looking forward to whichever family you choose to write about. Hopefully before the holidays. Life will be insane at our house then because our first grandbaby, a wee lassie, is due a week before Christmas! So very excited!!

    • LynnK says:

Congratulations in advance on the coming grand baby! <3 And yes, fingers crossed for another delivery before Christmas... :)
