A Little Preview

I thought you all might be interested in seeing what’s on the horizon:

Olivia Drummond is finished with the family business: no more mysteries, treasure hunts, or collectable anything made prior to the year 2000. She’s come to England for a fresh start, which she’ll get to right after she survives a family reunion at the feet of a spectacular castle. What she hasn’t expected is to meet a man carrying a medieval sword who turns her world upside-down and leaves her with more questions than answers.

Jackson Kilchurn, heir of a powerful medieval family, has spent his life scoffing at paranormal oddities. When he finds himself pushed through a portal into a different century, his good sense tells him to turn round and go home. He would, if he hadn’t dropped a key he needs—or if he hadn’t just met the woman of his dreams in the last place he’d ever thought he would find her.

Jackson’s past soon collides with Olivia’s present, though, and unless a few dangerous mysteries are solved, their future together is not at all certain . . .

  4. Jari says:

Soooo excited…have you ever thought of bringing Gillian’s brother back like Kendrick…He is one I always wanted to meet in a book.

    • LynnK says:

      Jari . . . hmmmm, that’s a thought.

I was thinking I should do a little poll and see if there are characters people want to read more about.

      • Catherine Skelding says:

That sounds like a great idea, but I have always wondered about all the little ones growing up, so I’m glad to see you’re working that angle! Especially since it seems like most of them, other than Jake & Amanda and Nicholas’s twins don’t know a thing about their parents heritage!

        • LynnK says:

Catherine, I’m with you there. I suspected there were some snoops in that younger generation, but we’ll have to see how far that goes . . . ;)
          Lynn

      • Carol Danner says:

I keep waiting for a book about Nicholas’ twins! Those rapscallions deserve a book!

        • LynnK says:

Me, too! They just keep hiding out in London and resisting all attempts to discover their activities, so it may take another couple of years. Ill stay on the case! :)

      • Sarah says:

So excited to read Jackson’s story! Next would be fun to see where Rose ends up – she’s so advanced for her time period, and even has her own castle. Feels like she needs to go forward in time to find her love, perhaps someone in Mary and Zachary’s circle. LOVE your wonderful stories. My favorite escape when I need to “travel” from this crazy life for a bit!!

        • LynnK says:

I think we all need good escapes! <3 Thanks for the kind words, Sarah. Rose is currently on stage in my head, so I hope you'll enjoy her story . . .

Cathy, thank you!! I hope you’ll enjoy it. Merry Christmas and happy 2022 full of wonderful things!

      • Cathy Skelding says:

Cannot think of one of your books I haven’t enjoyed, so I don’t think there will be a problem!!! Your books are the only ones I have and have kept for years as I acquired them! My hubby thinks I should get rid of them b/c I’ve read them so often, but I’d rather reread your books than read something disappointing from someone new!

        • LynnK says:

Cathy, thank you so much for that. I agree with you. I have dog-eared copies of things that are probably 30 years old that I just can’t throw away. There’s something about a real book that feels like family! <3
          Lynn

  15. Renae says:

I am so excited for this book. I’ve missed your books so much. When do you expect a release date? The cover is beautiful

    • LynnK says:

Diane, I agree about the cover–and I can say that because I didn’t design it haha. Release date: I’m just in the process of getting website things set up, but I’m hoping by the beginning of next week for sure.

    • LynnK says:

(Sorry, I know this is a repeat reply) Diane, thank you, and release date before Christmas, definitely! (And I’ll pass along the compliment to the designers. They’re fantastic!)

  33. Ronnie says:

I don’t see this book listed on the Barnes & Noble web site

    • LynnK says:

      Hi Ronnie,

It’s not live yet, but B&N will definitely carry it. I’m guessing after Jan 1, though, just because of the holidays.

      • Cindy Graff says:

Please help, Lynn. The book has been out for 4 weeks now on Kindle, and there is no indication of when we can hope to see it on Barnes and Noble, or in paperback anywhere. My nook won’t let me read the only edition available, Kindle. So close, but still out of reach! Please rush it to Barnes and Noble, or in paperback from any seller. We are really anxious to read A Lovely Day Tomorrow!!!!
What can you tell us????? Thanks for replying!

        • LynnK says:

          Hi Cindy,

I can tell you that the proof I have of the hardcopy is gorgeous. :) I’m not sure who Amazon contracts out to for their printing, but it’s a genuinely lovely physical book.

I’m hoping to have everything ready to proof by the end of the week and up and available next week!
          Lynn

  34. christie says:

I’m assuming this is the son of Jackson and Amanda? When were we introduced to him before? I guess I have some re-reading to do!

So excited for a new book. Beautiful cover! <3

    • LynnK says:

      Hi Christie,
I’ll tell my cover designers. I agree; they did a fantastic job. And yes, this is Jake and Amanda’s oldest son. Hope you’ll enjoy it!
      Lynn

  35. Linda says:

You dont know how happy i am right now.

  36. Linda says:

You dont know how happy i am right now. My hubby said i know thst smile. You are getting a mre book 😆

    • LynnK says:

Awww, that’s a sweet hubby you have. (I hope he brought you a blanket and something hot to drink so you could read in peace!)

  37. Erin says:

Great news. Congratulations and a good way to end the year.

  38. RobinRBL says:

Oh wow! How wonderful!! Just what we need in the world, a fabulous read to take us away for a few hours of pleasure. Loving a new branch of the family tree and expanding into new worlds, but also hoping that we get to catch a glimpse past beloved characters (fingers crossed!) I’m greedy, I know. Hope you enjoy the delights of the Season. I’ll definitely be putting my bookstore gift card to good use when this comes out!! Wonder if it will be available on audio too?

    • LynnK says:

      Hi Robin,
I hope you enjoy it when you read it! I agree. A good escape is a great way to regroup and recharge.

About audio: not sure yet. I’ve got some catching up to do this year with books to get back in print, so probably not too soon, but definitely eventually!
      Lynn

  41. Chandra says:

Please don’t take this wrong, but…… FINALLY!!! Oh my gosh, you’re my numero uno, favorite authoress! I’ve been dying without my escape. I won’t be able to pace myself. There will be a whole day dedicated to this book and nobody better need me.(finger snap)

  42. Bethany says:

  48. Alexandra M. says:

This is just the best news!
Was just sitting here at the breakfast table, eating my oatmeal, looking for something inspiring & here it is!
I too will have to go back to the beginning for poll data. At the time of reading I think “we should definitely know more about this person” but that person is replaced with a new person each new Lynn K. book I read. Hope you treat yourself to something very special for getting a new release to market! <3

    • LynnK says:

Alexandra, thank you for the visual — might have to have oatmeal tomorrow, haha — and for such nice things said. I have to admit that Jackson may have bumped a few guys off my short list of favorites. :) I don’t know about anything special, but I did have a couple of naps, a great holiday with family, and some new ideas. I hope you had an enjoyable read and that you’ll have a great 2022!
      Lynn

  49. Jennifer Smaltz says:

I have been waiting for a new book. I have read the others over 10 times. Every time I start one I can not put it down until I am done.

  50. Donna Knipschild says:

So looking forward to this book, when will it be at bookstores???

  51. Marjorie says:

What a stunning tale! You are my one author I return to time and time again! I’ve been reading your stories for oh so long! I loved the book…read until 1am. Went to work and finished it the next night. Cannot wait for the next installments to come along.

  52. Sani says:

    I’ve been waiting forever..
Can’t wait to have it my hands.

    Christmas Greetings from Germany.

  53. Cindy Graff says:

OMG, Lynn!!! It has been soooo long since my very favorite author published a MacLeod/de Piaget novel, I almost gave up hoping! I have a Barnes and Noble Nook, no Kindle, and as I am sure you know, your new book is not available at all yet on Barnes and Noble. I went to Amazon to try to buy a print edition, but all they have is Kindle! Do you know when it will be available either in print on Amazon, or in any format on Barnes and Noble? I CAN’T WAIT!!! Please rush! Thanks so much!!!

    • LynnK says:

Cindy, this may be a duplicate answer–yes to all formats and platforms, hopefully by the end of next week. (I’m still trying to get a good fit on my Publisher Hat, so I’m blaming this on novice jitters . . . :)) — Lynn

  54. Mary says:

Like everyone I am excited to read the newest installment in the de Piaget series. Since I have all of your books in the Apple Books app and I really would like to keep your books together in the same app I’m wondering if your new books will be sold on Apple Books?

    • LynnK says:

Mary, yes! Once I get everything uploaded to the appropriate places, ALDT should be available on all platforms. I don’t have Apple Books, but I’ll download the app to make sure. I’m guessing by the end of next week . . .
      Lynn

      • Mary says:

Thank yo much for letting me know. I will continue to check the Apple iBook store for your book – can’t wait to read it!!

  55. Kelly J Champion says:

Interesting that Amazon only has it in Kindle edition. Is/will there (be) a paperback or hardback edition? When. I keep your books so I want a “real” book. I can’t wait.

    • LynnK says:

      Hi Kelly,
Ah, well, it’s just me not being as organized as I would have liked in December. I made the decision to release on Kindle while I was waiting for the hard copy to proof, so it’s my doing, but I’m with you on real books!
      :)
      Lynn

      • Amanda van Woert says:

Very excited to be able to get my hands on a print version when it’s available (not that I won’t also get the Kindle version, because one must always travel with the dePiaget/MacLeod library in case of paranormal oddities…) I have the entire series in paperback and must be consistent with the home library.

  56. J C says:

Eeeeek!!!! You just made me so happy!! I can’t hardly wait!

  57. Linda Howell says:

My husband thought something had happened to me when he heard me screaming! Fortunately, it was because I was so excited to see your new book was out. Sad I can’t read it right away since I don’t like reading books on a tablet, (There’s something about curling up in a comfy chair with a good book that I can’t get away from.) I’m pretty patient and now have something really special to look forward to in the New Year! Thanks, Lynn, and health, happiness and great writing ideas in 2022!

    • LynnK says:

      Linda,
My apologies to your hubby, haha. Thanks for being excited! Hard copy will be out soon — I use my tablet to read all the time, but I’m also a huge fan of a cozy nook and a lovely physical book. There’s nothing like sunshine on a printed page, right? <3
Thank you for the good wishes and same to you!
      Lynn

  58. Deb Lollar says:

Re-reading the entire series for the third time. So Excited
Hopefully Rose and the Twins (would LOVE their story) find themselves with their own books!
    Happy New Year, Indeed!!

  59. EMelton says:

I can’t believe I missed it! I knew I was busy but I had been checking 2-3 times a week! An old dilemma now…do I finish what I’m rereading or move on to Olivia and Jackson? I’m so glad it is here and I love the cover. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

    • LynnK says:

I’ll let my cover designers know! And I don’t know what to tell you about what to choose . . . what a happy dilemma. ;)
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you!
      Lynn

  60. Michele L says:

What a triumph and SO well needed in the time we are experiencing now. I read it in Kindle and will buy in paperback as soon as possible as I still prefer a book in my hand! We are blessed to have your wisdom on love and chivalry to aid us in remembering what is truly important in life! Can’t wait until your next book!!

    • LynnK says:

Michele, thank you so much for the extremely kind (and too generous!) words. I was very fortunate to have a cast of characters with cheerful, can-do attitudes to take notes from. <3 I'm so happy you liked the story!
      Lynn

  61. Carol Danner says:

I am so excited to discover that there will FINALLY be a new Lynn Kurland book for me to read! I just happened to check Amazon to see if you had anything out and was so pleasantly surprised to see this! I had signed up for your newsletter, but never got anything about your new book (I even checked my spam folder), so I don’t know what’s up with that. I immediately called my sister (a fellow fan) and let her know. we are both SOooo excited!

    • LynnK says:

Carol, that made my day! About a newsletter . . . yeah, I’m terrible at it. I probably need some sort of keeper. ;) I was going to wait until all editions were live in all possible places before sending something out, so I’m sure you’re still on my list. Thx for calling your sister, haha . . .
      Lynn

  62. Iva Albrecht says:

    Lynn,
Bravo Jackson’s story was a balm to my soul! I took my time and delighted in see what other characters have been up to. Thank you for telling us his story. I do hope that other will come to share their lives with you so that you can contact to write them for all of us to enjoy. Thank you.

  63. Ana Marie says:

    Lynn,
Thanks so much for a wonderful new story! Like everyone else, I’ve been anxiously awaiting a new story and you didn’t disappoint. Loved seeing familiar characters and new interactions with all of them. Thanks for sharing your characters with us!

  64. Vivian Yip says:

I’m very very glad to see this book and read this book. The book was very enjoyable. I’m now curious about Nick’s twins now, but I’m just glad the author is back!

  65. Sara Martin says:

A Garden in the Rain was my all time favorite, but it just got replaced. It was an amazing book! Jackson is so much much like his Father. Brilliant writing, full of wit, a few tears, and a lot of smiles. Brilliantly woven sub plots that had me saying Yes!! Full circle!!

Can’t wait for Theo and Sam’s stories.

  66. DebbieD says:

When I received “A Lovely Day Tomorrow” back in January, nothing got done around the house for 2 days! Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down! Fantastic story! Right up there with Jake & Amanda’s story as well as Nicholas & Jennifer’s (and all 3 Alexander sisters)! All the DePaiget & McLeod books are very good, but some just stand out above the rest.

  67. Sarah says:

Loved it!! Reading now for the third time – too much fun. Now I’m curious about Rose. She’s married?! Can’t wait to hear more. Thanks Lynn – love your books! Keep them coming. 😀

  68. Harleen ( Terry ) Peterson says:

I read the book and loved it, I can’t wait for your next book to come out.

  69. Cindy Graff says:

    Hi Lynn,

It has been some 14 months since we heard anything from you, and I am sure that I am not the only reader who is concerned and anxiously waiting to hear some news about how you are doing, and about any new books coming.

    Would you please update us?

    Thanks so much!

  70. Sue McGovern says:

Hi Lynn, I have been reading your time traveling McLeod and DePiaget books faithfully over the years and wondered what happened. I’m so happy to hear you will start writing again!
I enjoy your books so much, and they take me out of this present world we live in, to a time that was magical. When is your next book on them coming out next?

  71. Carolyn Crenshaw says:

Waiting for your next book!!! hopefully Sam and Theo.
