One Enchanted Evening!

One Enchanted Evening will hit the shelves April 24th, so it seemed like a good time to get the new site up and running.

I still have a little housecleaning to do, but hope to have everything going soon. We’re working on an archive for the old forum posts, favorite quotes, and guestbook. My friend Tyler doesn’t know it yet, but he’s going to be redesigning the genealogy chart for me, so it’s more easily updatable for the photoshopped challenged (which would be me).

I dragged myself into the 21st century and set up a facebook page. I’m mulling the possiblilities of that vs. a yahoo group for release announcements since I can’t do a traditional newsletter with my current host. Opinions are welcome!

For the moment, take a look around and stop by the forum if you like.

And enjoy One Enchanted Evening!

I would recommend against Facebook. Lots of people (like me) use it only for people we know in real life because it just isn’t manageable to include EVERYONE online, too. But honestly, if you posted a Facebook notice about updates or something, I’d probably never see it, simply because other people’s posts on their pages would bury it rather quickly.

I’d just use this. The fact that you’ve got an RSS feed here means that we can “subscribe” to that in our Feed Readers (I already did) or just bookmark this page. Either way is easier for us than subscribing to a Yahoo list or checking a Facebook page. Aaaannnnnddddd…it’s no extra work for you!

    Katie,

I’ll take your advice for reasons discussed elsewhere.

I’m going to use the journal strictly for news and leave the gabbing for the blog, so hopefully I won’t innundate your inboxes with babbling :)

    Hi Lynn,

I definitely recommend that you create a Facebook page (a fan page). It’s free and a great marketing tool and I’d be one of the first ones to sign up. I’m 39 and on there all the time… whereas I don’t always stop by your home page unless it’s to check and see if a new book is coming out. Facebook is really taking off with women aged 30+ – plus the viral aspect of it allows people to share and hence you can attract new people.

Once your page is set up, you can actually use a setting within Facebook and connect it to your RSS feed here, so that when you post something here it will magically be zapped to Facebook. I did that for my business’s blog, and it works like a charm. You can do something similar with Twitter via a free tool called “TwitterFeed”. If you need any help sorting it out, let me know.

I have to say…I love the new website!
As for Facebook, I have to agree with Lisa; Facebook would be a great way to keep us informed and provide you with free marketing…I would gladly forward any information from you to all of my girlfriends.

While I’m here, I would like to thank you for writing such beautiful romances with the closed door policy; I wish there were more romance authors like you.

Hi Lynne, I have just finished reading One Enchanted Evening and thoroughly enjoyed it, but all those unanswered questions. What happened to John? When does Tess’ book get published? What about Peaches and Stephen?? The list goes on and on.
I have enjoyed reading all of your books and look forward to more.

I love the fact that you have a facebook page but you need to do more with it. I check my facebook all the time! and I would love to hear about your latest book and I think it would go over really well.

    Hi Lynn,
I love the idea of a FB page. I am always more likely to be on FB than anywhere else, so any information you could give via that site would be more accessible for me. :)

Could you please post a link to your website page so we can get to the official one instead of all the fan sites? Like others, I’m addicted to facebook for all my family and friend updates and have other fan pages I access daily. Thank you. Oh yes – I LOVE the new website too. It’s very pretty and easy to use. Love you too. lol

    Dear Ms. Kurland,
Your books have given me hours of delight and I’m always looking for a new one. Have you considered giving Phillip dePaiget his own book? After reading about some of his misadventures with his Scottish wife I would enjoy the whole story.
Thank you for a great series of books.
