: : My sister is getting married next month and is searching for Medieval dresses. Does anyone know of some websites leading to this purchase? She isn't looking for wedding dresses at all. Thank you for any help! Candy

: If your sister can find a tailor or a dressmaker, there are a lot of medieval dress pattern at fabric stores. It would probably come out the same price as a store bought dress, but she could get the style and fabric she wants.

About two years ago, I made a dress for my daughter. A simple pattern, but I took some ideas from the Princess Bride. As a result, she won an award for the best original costume in her class. It was funny to see all the girls dressed as princesses. I told her why there weren't any milkmaids or wenches. She just said nobody wants to be a peasant. My son is only three now, but I can't wait till he has a medieval day and sew something original for him - something with no pointy things.
